Collection : Chinese motifs

My first collection is inspired by China.

China is a remarkable country with more than 4,000 years of history. Also called the Middle Kingdom, it has built a unique culture over years of dynamic development. It gave the world philosophers like Confucius and Laotius, but also a dictator like Mao Ze Dong. It is the site of the inventions of paper, gunpowder, the compass, and printing. Silk has been produced since the Neolithic age. The Great Wall of China is one of the largest architectural works in the world.

China is a country experiencing tremendous development dynamics. A developing country in the 1970s is now the second-largest economy in the world. The communist ideology of the ruling party is combined with market mechanisms in a curious way. Despite modernization, people keep their traditions. Many activities are done outside, such as dancing together, singing, playing games, or practicing Tai Chi.
